A Few of My Favorite Things

Big dogs
and bird songs
and hikes along ridges

Rainstorms
and rockforms
and kayak-ing with the missus

Long canyon bridges that wobble and swing,
These are a few of my favorite things.

Scout trips
and malt sips
and rocks that are mossy

Dolphins
and fish tins
and hiking with the posse

That sweet green-eyed hottie who’s wearing my ring,
These are a few of my favorite things.

When I’m plain worn out
or when I work too much
or when I’m feeling down
I suddenly think of my favorite things
And then there’s no need to frown

Aged maps
and brass caps
And old lookout towers

Ice cans
and rock bands
And trails full with flowers

Old signs
And good times
Taking the girls caving

Deep sleep
and warm feet
and not ever shaving

These are a few of my favorite things.
